If tomorrow everyone began treating one another as if we were all God, what would the world become?

Asked by Dan_Lyons (5527points) July 19th, 2014

Seriously, whether you believe in God or not, you have a notion of who He purports to be.
How would us all realizing that we are all God change life as we know it?

People would go insane trying to figure out, which of the 7 milliard gods to worship and whom they should kill in their chosen god’s name.

Murder would be more fun for the murdered. Seeing everyone can be reincarnated and resurrected. It would be like a video game, and an escape from traps and illness by starting over.

Then everyone would walk around thinking they are God. As if we aren’t egotistical enough as a species already.

Arse lickingly unbearable.

A battle zone. From too many higher than mighty far fetched ideals.

“God” is omnipotent. Can’t happen. There is only one “God”, so “God” cannot treat others as peers. The Greek “Gods” fought, bitched and bickered.

It’s part and parcel: if I’m GOD, there is no other. OTHERS are minions.

Boring as hell.

Or maybe not. If God exists, then Satan does too…. so we won’t have accomplished a damned thing.

If God were real he would be green with envy at how people began to worship one another and not him.

Or, people would have more expectation toward each other, thinking because they were Gods, they had superpower. And if misfortune came to someone, Gods would be the one to take the blame.

What would the world become? Annoying. Very annoying.

It literally would be hell.

I’d believe in humanity even less than I do now.

The economy would collapse because everyone would be too busy punking each other with the fossil record to get any work done.

@Dan_Lyons, and this is why we can’t have nice things. Haha!

A god in the presence of god’s would be but a man.
A god in the presense of men would be a danger to all mankind.

Depends on what god is.
My personal idea is that the universe in its entirety complete with everything in it is god.
Its ominpresent. (well, it is f*$kin everywhere!)
Its all powerful. (a sea of infinte potential)
Its eternal. (in my ‘big bang is bollocks’ opinion).
Its all knowing. (nothing is outside of it, and all information is contained within it)
And my limited laymans understanding of physics leads me to the conclusion thats since we all sprang from it, and are constructed from it, that we are all god too.

And I havent even had any DMT. (though its definately on my bucket list…... as are mushrooms!)

What would it be like if everyone realised it?

If it consisted of everyone being a god as depicted by the bible full of ego. Then yes, most probably hell on earth.

If everyone went through full ego death in the realisation that we were all one, then possibly heaven on earth.
