How can I find out where my Camaro was sold at originally?

I have the VIN and everything written down, but I want to find out what dealership my car was sold at. It is an 86’ Camaro IROC Z28. Is there any free way to find this information?

Don’t these things show up on the title document? They do in New Zealand and here in Norway. You can see everyone, including the dealerships or finance companies that re- possessed it.

@cazzie The Title is re-issued to the current owner, there is no paper trail to the original owner in the USA.
