What cereals do you eat?

Asked by Here2_4 (7152points) September 23rd, 2014

I clicked on to questions for me even though it said zero.
It suggested some new topics I might like. One of them was cereal. I thought it was funny that cereal had ever been a chosen topic, so I clicked it.
I decided it should be used, so I am asking what cereals do you eat? Do you like hot cereals, cold cereals, sugared cereals? Which are your favorites, and which do you eat most often?
I love Wheaties. Corn Chex is also a favorite.

We always had hot cereal for breakfast when I was a kid. Cold cereals were something you saw on TV or at someone else’s house.
Hot oat meal, cream of wheat, bran flakes, corn flakes, sugar frosted flakes, shredded wheat. Absolutely nothing with those darn ‘filler’ raisins!

Peanut butter Cap’n Crunch.
I try to be an adult and settle with Barbra’s P.B Puffins but we both know we’re just settling for each other.

As a child, I ate Cap’n Crunch, Kix, Fruit Loops, and Coco Puffs. As an adult with diabetes, I eat Cheerios, Life, Shredded Wheat, and Grape Nuts Flakes.

Dorset for me. Just finished a bowl, actually.

However, I just learned while looking for that image that Dorset is changing its product line. It looks like I might not be able to find a raspberry-free alternative. :(

Jordan’s muesli, Shredded Wheat and porridge. I don’t eat cereal very often though, only occasionally when I get some soya milk.

Oatmeal
Special K with Protein

I rarely eat cereal. A serving is a joke and it never satisfies my hunger. I could eat half a box in one sitting and still be starving. I prefer foods with some substance. However, if calories were out of the question, I’d have a pantry packed with…

Cap’n Crunch with Crunch Berries
Peanut Butter Crunch Cap’n Crunch
Cookie Crisp
Raisin Bran Crunch
Frosted Mini Wheats
Froot Loops
Cinnamon Toast Crunch
Apple Jacks
Lucky Charms
Golden Grahams
Honey Graham Oh’s

Yes, I’m really just a big kid.

Oh no, you just made me hungry for bar cookies! What have we done? Could you just taste marshmallow Crunchberry treats, peanut butter cinnamon toast bars with chocolate icing, or Apple Jacks marshmallow bars? Almost everything you listed makes a bar cookie to die(t) for.
I have to go for a walk after work today, just for thinking about it.
