General Question

How do I reconnect my Flickr account to Facebook. Why would it suddenly have stopped working?

Asked by gailcalled (54644points) October 3rd, 2014

Did I click on something by mistake? Poking around in the Flickr Help pages is not very helpful. Would upgrading Safari have messed things up? (This is not very urgent but moderately annoying.)

Recently, Facebook popped up with the option to change security settings, so I dug around through their prompts – is it possible that you disabled is on the FB end, and not the Flickr side?

Look here: https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=applications
or here: https://www.flickr.com/account/sharing/

Flickr to Facebook;
Your Facebook account has been connected to Flickr. You can share photos to Facebook using the Share Menu.

When i actually try, this message pops up.
An error has occurred. Please try again.

The Facebook link you posted seems confusing. The Facebook forum had a lot of similar complaints but no clear answers.

On the FB link, do you see Flickr listed? If not, the permissions you gave to Flickr have somehow been deleted. In that case, I’d go to the Flickr link and remove the FB information. Clear the cache on your browser and close it, then reboot the computer. Go back to Flickr and reconnect to FB.

Thanks. Will wait for daughter and friend; instructions like these make me break out in hives.

@Hearkat; My daughter was just here and, using your links, clacked away at the speed of light for a few minutes. She fixed it. So thank you.
