Will you help me find some arms cuffs that can be used as "heating pads"?

Asked by Dutchess_III (46811points) November 6th, 2014

What I have in mind are maybe 4 inches wide. I want at least 3 of them but I’m not finding anything.

I want something I can plug in. I have this wonderful jell wrap, but I’m up every 5 minutes heating it back up in the microwave.

I use the large version of these Thermophore devices for my lower back. It generates moist heat and has the safety device of needing a hand to hold the “on” button, preventing you from falling asleep and parboiling yourself. They are expensive but I have had mine for over 15 years and use it almost daily.

“Hold switch down to start moist heat. Let go and it turns off.
Designed for the neck, sinus or TMJ area. It applys moist heat therapy to specific joints – such as the elbow, knee or ankle. Comes with a long Velcro fastener which allows adjustment for a snug fit on any small area.

Original Thermophore Automatic Moist Heat Pack is designed with a special hand-held switch. Just press for heat, release to cool and alternate as often as you like. If you happen to doze off and your hand relaxes, the unit will cool as a safety feature.

Features
Size: 4 by 17 inches
Weight: 2 lbs
Cord Length: 10 feet
Maximum Temperature: 165°F
Electrical Specifications: 110 Volts; 44 Watts – 60 HZ A.C.
Recommended Application Time: 15 – 20 minutes at a time.”

You could only use two at a time unless you have someone there willing to lend you his or her hand.

Thank you. @Gailcalled. It’s really not THAT expensive when you consider the convenience, is it! Plus, if I order 5+ I get them for $43. Guess what all the adults are getting for Christmas this year! Goddamn sex ads up there….can’t wait to be finished tomorrow.

More than five? Do you have an epidemic of sore small body parts?

(Gel packs)

“All the adults in the family.” That easily equals 5+. If we just get one per family that equals 5 exactly.
Yes, we have an epidemic of pulled muscles and stuff. Everyone works hard.
I use a gel pack now for my entrapped ulnar nerve. I’m up every 5 minutes reheating it in the microwave. It’s a pain.

Well worth it even at $55.00. That’s just unde 17 cents per day for a year. Verify the size that suits each family. I use the 14” x 27” pad that has no velcro adjustments.

Will do. Thanks. (Well, drat. Rick and I were going to invent this but it’s too late now!)

Mine don’t plug in but they stay hot for a while—they’re cherry stone pillows that can be used hot or cold. They feel wonderful on my rheumatic feet and back,
