So, there was a Dust Bowl in the thirties. Is it still there?

Or did we figure out how to farm better? Or what?

Horrible situation it was, I can’t imagine the misery. Gah!
Yep, not over farming land and stripping top soil away, even if it was partly nature and partly nurture.
There was also little or no irrigation implements during that era in those areas, had there been a way to irrigate the land the crops would not have died off so easily due to drought conditions and the top soil would have remained anchored.

Better farming practices. Look up the PBS special on the dust bowl. Excellent.
