How did this weeks (17 Nov 2014) snowstorm inconvenience you?

Asked by majorrich (14741points) November 18th, 2014

In Central Ohio, we got a mere 4 Inches of snow, yet it knocked out my power for over 9 hours, and it took my wife 2 hours to drive 30 miles. Where are you and how were you impacted?

Walking 2 miles each way to class in 10 degree weather with a windchill of -9 really sucks. I tried biking it like normal but my legs just didn’t want to move.

I’m in northwest ohio, where our wind lately has been 20–23mph. Sucks.

Western Canada haven’t had snow yet, but it is coming.

We only got 3” of snow but it has been very very cold. Inconvenient for me but really annoying for Milo, who cannot go outside. Central eastern NYS.

Also my heat in my apartment stopped working yesterday. It’s so cold my thermostat won’t register it. I can barely feel my hands.

I hate you arctic blast!

I hope they get you back to heat soon, but glad it’s supposed to warm up a bit.

I haven’t been able to work since last Wednesday due to snow. 2 lost days. Might be able to work Thursday of this week but it might snow again!

Southeast Michigan here. Fortunately we just got a dusting of snow but evidently more expected tonight.

But temps are really really cold. The Shitzu I’m dog-sitting gets his business done in record time everytime I let him out :) Not too much of that endless sniffing and circling around to find that absolutely perfect spot. It’s a large cold lawn and pretty much anyplace will do so the paws don’t freeze :)

I can’t wait to find out.

I left the USA on 17 Nov to fly to Malaysia again for a few days. It’s 80°F here, sunny and humid, with a chance of thunderstorms later. I’m looking forward to being back in the chilly Northeast, believe it or not.

@CWOTUS

Lucky you. I’m envious.

However, if you’ll be anywhere near Northern Ohio on Eastward to Upstate NY, be prepared for four feet of snow thus far. Yup, that’s feet, not inches.

A concert was cancelled and rescheduled for a night that I am out of town.
I am unable to visit with my son.
My eyeballs hurt so bad while walking the 10 minute walk from my office building to my car last night. It was SO cold and SO windy.
