I would buy softwares/games/books then post them online for free, because everyone loves free things.

One thing, off the topic of my head, I’d want to do – travel the full length of the Pan-American Highway. Why? Because I think it would be fun and interesting and because a good road trip can be a wonderful experience.

Get more telescope equipment.

I would cure myself. then go for a long nap. Then start a family. I would donate a large amount to PBS Nova. Then I would give an endowment to science. Also I would eat out every night. KFC and pizza.

Unlimited money? Buy all the available land in the world and turn it into protected preserves. Stop the expansion of mankind into virgin territories and create green areas in cities. Tropical is priority.

Unlimited time to spend my money? Travel. My own plane, and the best guides. “Best” being locals that can immerse me in the local culture. No tourist traps that aren’t a part of the whole typical experience.

I would think long and hard about it. I’ll answer you in a week or so.

Build a house made out entirely of pillows, then I’d run around in it, crashing everywhere.

I’d travel much more. I’d work part-time in my job (because I enjoy it) and have more time to write and volunteer within my community.

What I was able to do for a long time until the economy tanked me. Enjoy a rural property with my animals, work part time at a job I loved, travel some, mostly just be peaceful and happy hanging out on my secluded property in nature.

I would buy a bunch of property and turn them into animal sanctuaries for stray and unwanted animals. If I had unlimited resources, I would staff them with people to care for the animals.

I would also travel a lot. Not working for a living, of course, I’d have tons of time to travel. In my time at home, I’d be spending it in book shops, drinking coffee and reading books. I’d also have more time to exercise and I’d probably take up yoga.

I’d build a library to rival the ancient one in Alexandria. I’d employ the best educators I could find, then make classes free to anyone who wanted to attend. Preference would be given to disadvantaged young people, with a strict agreement to achieve the very best they could.

Travel the world. And then do it again.

Become a supervillain of sorts targeting every country on earth.

Being good just seems so boring especially with all that at one’s fingertips.

@Winter_Pariah Good point. With unlimited money, it’d be great fun to screw with investors on the stock markets. Or fund massive practical jokes in major cities around the world.

First, I would improve my health and fitness. I have an auto-immune disease that causes chronic pain and extreme fatigue. If I didn’t have to get up and work every day, I’d have time and energy to do physical therapy and exercise, and afford other health care evaluations and treatments that are not covered by insurance to really get to the root of my particular triggers. Hopefully, I’d get myself into remission eventually, and then I would travel – I really want to see the world.

If it were a situation where I had control of massive amounts of money, I’d purchase land and properties. If it were undeveloped, I’d leave it that way to preserve the habitat for native species. If it were developed, I’d renovate to be eco-friendly and offer it to those in need – for commercial properties, I’d find non-profits that could use the space; and for residential, I’d especially like to help the single parents to have a stable household environment for their kids.

If it were a really obscene amount of money, I’d oppose the Koch brothers and their ilk dollar-for-dollar.

@hearkat I’d do the same, buy up lots of raw wildlands and preserve them as wildlife refuges.
I’d also purchase old, thousands and thousands of acres of ranch lands and historic ranches like Ted Turner has done.
