Can I collect Unemployment?

I quite my job 10 months ago, I left under good terms. Its 10 months later and I have not worked since, under Massachusetts law can I collect unemployment?

Individual states have their own parameters. But my understanding is that quiting a job does not qualify – you have to have been fired.

You have to be laid off to collect, not quit or fired.

Under Massachusetts law, you must be unemployed by no fault of your own, i.e. terminated.

its better for you to get info from your local dol dept, google for their official site for your state.
