Can you come up with a whimsical name for a new restaurant?

Asked by Kardamom (31431points) January 18th, 2015

I just misspelled something on a post, but when I saw the misspelling, I quite liked it. I meant to write see and eat, but I wrote it sea and eat. Then I thought to myself, that sounds like a great name for a restaurant by the ocean.

Can you guys come up with some great restaurant names? What type of cuisine would you serve, feel free to post pictures and links to recipes.

In what city would you like to have your restaurant?

I think, rather than call your restaurant “Sea and Eat”, you should call it “Seat”.

Of course Sea and Eat would be a vegetarian restaurant, but I think it should have a tropical theme. Maybe with a Hawaiian kitsch flair. I love all that Hawaiiana stuff from the 1950’s and early 60’s.

Here are some of the things I would have on the menu:

Pineapple Planter’s Punch

Coconut Banana Smoothie

Coconut Chocolate Iced Coffee

Watermelon Coconut Breeze

Minty Ginger Ale with Lime

Mango Lassi

Spicy Pineapple Fritters

Fresh Spring Rolls with Mango and Mint

Edamame and Pepperdew Hummus served with Taro Chips

Grilled Tofu and Pineapple Skewers with Mango BBQ Sauce

Stuffed Cream Cheese with Mango Chutney served with Fresh Pita Chips with Zaatar

Soba Noodle Salad with Mango, Pineapple, Edamame, and Avocado

Seaweed Salad

Green Mango Salad

Tropical Fruit Salad with Feta Cheese

Asian Kale Salad with Tofu

Coconut Rice

Hawaiian Macaroni Salad

Mango Slaw

Sweet Pineapple Baked Beans

Cilantro Ginger Rice

Tom Kha Soup

Hot and Sour Soup

Miso Noodle Soup

Vegetarian Phở

Cold Mango Coconut Soup with Mango Relish

Black Bean and Mango Lettuce Wraps

Seared Tempeh Wraps with Peanut Sauce

Pad Thai

Mango Mole Enchiladas

Empanadas with Pineapple Vinegar Dipping Sauce, Chiles Rellenos, and Avocado

Spicy Black Bean and Sweet Potato Burritos with Pineapple Salsa

Grilled Mango Basil Pizza with Balsamic Tomato Sauce

Tropical Avocado Bikini Wrap

Portobello Mushroom Burger with Asian Slaw

Teriyaki Glazed Brown Rice and Edamame Burger with Grilled Pineapple and Crispy Green Onions

Spicy Thai Coconut Curry

Coconut Bread with Cream Cheese Frosting

Pineapple Sorbet

Mango Mousse

Coconut Rice Pudding

Banana Gelato

Kona Coffee Bread Pudding

Coconut Pineapple Upside Down Cake

That’s what the entrees are. We call them that in the U.S. interchangeably.

@Kardamom Somehow that escaped my initial thought processes, but you are right. Thank you for brightening my day and leaving me laughing too hard (almost) to type this response.
