Help with identifying a bra style?

Asked by DrasticDreamer (23996points) February 15th, 2015

What kind of bras are http://www.sammydress.com/product897354.html and http://www.sammydress.com/product863999.html and http://www.sammydress.com/product863999.html ?

I don’t know what to call the style, so I can’t even do a search in Google. Can anyone help me?

@johnpowell Haha! Thank you. :)

But if anyone can help me figure out what the style is, that’d be great, because I’d still like to know what to call it.

@Lightlyseared No, a lot of bras can be push ups. The ones I linked are – at least to me – kind of vintage in style? They have wider back bands than most bras I see, and a lot more fabric.

Okay its a push up/ plunge cross. The wider band is called long line. I didn’t figure that was important as the second one didn’t have it.

Although its not as long as traditional long line bra.

@Lightlyseared Ah, longline bras. Ah ha! Lol! Thank you. :)

I would say the ‘alluring’ one is meant to be a longline bra.

I don’t think the other one has a specific name. It is a push-up bra, and perhaps a full cup (although it says it’s a three-quarter cup bra), unpadded bra. (It looks like it might be at least partially unpadded).

Long line (already mentioned above) and you could add lace to your search if lace is what you want. Push up if you need it, long line don’t have to be push up.

Demi cup tend to be a sexy style if that is what your going for, but your examples are not really demi, but that search, “long line demi” should bring up bras you like if you don’t get a lot with just long line. Demi is not always used correctly, or I should say not used the same by all vendors, so it should trigger bras that basically show some breast.

That site has good prices. Did you order from them before, @DrasticDreamer?

When you ask about the style, are you referring to the demi cup aspect? Or the fact that the bra extends below the cups?

Well, the ad says a “China Style”.

DrasticDreamer's avatar

@jca The fact that the bras extend below the cups. I googled “Longline” and that’s definitely the style I was looking for. I think they’re adorable. No, I haven’t ordered from them before… but I’m seriously considering it.

The SammyDress site has a poor WOT score (https://www.mywot.com/), so I’d be cautious about giving them my money. I’ve done business with HerRoom.com, and they have a tremendous selection, and great fitting information in the product descriptions.

@hearkat I was hesitant to shop from there, just because I’ve never heard of them.

Also, that’s a great link – thank you for sharing.
