It would be located in a time warp. So you could nap as long as you’d like without taking up time in our own space time continuum.

I have one:

1. It’s quiet
2. It has a door and a window with a shade that blocks out most sunlight
3. It has a clock but no radio, TV or computer
4. It has a comfortable twin bed with a warm comforter for cold weather and a cool blanket when a/c is on
5. It’s very simply furnished, with a few framed photos I never tire of seeing on a book case, which also holds a turntable and prized knick-knacks
6. It doubles as a guest room

Me and my friends did create the perfect nap room, back in college in a room of a friend’s house. It had many futons – 10, I think – stacked double and entirely covering the floor, plus lots of pillows scattered around. Anyone could crash out any time; it was fantastic.

Dim lights, warm with a cool breeze blowing in through an open window, goose down pillows everywhere, the sound of a babbling brook in the background, Chopin Piano concerto No.1 softly playing…

Dark. 67 degrees. Clean and open. Quiet, aside from the hum of a fan blowing toward the king size bed covered in cool cotton sheets, a big blanket that isn’t too heavy or too thin, and two king size pillows that never go flat.

I would like a room on the top of the house, square, not too large, with casement windows lining all four walls, screened so they can be opened on that cool spring day (we usually only get one here in Texas), a large overhanging eave so the windows could be left open during rainstorms and an uninsulated metal roof allowing the jangle of raindrops to be heard unimpeded. The bed should be a large, four poster, canopied affair with high thread count cotton sheets and pillowcases, with a soft, possibly down filled oversized comforter on it with extra blankets close at hand. The room should also be furnished with a medium sized long haired cat that is not overly friendly but likes to snuggle next to you.
