How many people would you be willing to completely screw over, if you thought you could make money from it?

Or have you already done so?

None?
But it feels as if this question is loaded with rock salt.

I don’t screw people over.

cheebdragon's avatar

It’s not a loaded question, I’m just wondering how many people would choose to fuck over others, in an effort to get rich or get ahead in life.

@cheebdragon
Interestingly enough, I am currently in the process of being sued for something that I didn’t do. In true “Better Call Saul” style, someone took a fall far away from my parked vehicle and claims I ran them over. So I guess I could answer for the person who is slandering me and say at least one. They would screw over at least one.

There’s more than a few wall street bankers and health insurance executives that I would have no problem screwing over, karma and all of that.

Depends on the degree of screwed-overness.

None.

All of the screwed up dishonest ones.

People personally none, large corporations if knew I could do it legally and get away with it every last damn one.

Agree with @SQUEEKY2. I’d screw over some big ass corporation for money, no fuckin qualms. But not an individual person…although when you stop to think of it, if you screw over a corporation, you’re essentially screwing the person who owns it. Ah fuck em.

Doesn’t the willingness to screw over CEOs & Investment Bankers make you just like them though? I can understand wanting to make them give back the money they stole, but how would screwing them over be any different than what they have done?

Berserker's avatar

It wouldn’t. But if I did screw over a large company for money, obviously I wouldn’t be worrying about the morality issue. Hell I wouldn’t even be arsed to say I’m doing it for the little guy, I’d just see it as an opportunity to get rich.
But screwing over a normal person for money, the morality would kick in. The bank guy will just make money again, but Mr Everyone, maybe not so much. That doesn’t make it right, but if I’m screwing someone over, it’s not like I care about that.

The only way I would even dare to think about screwing someone over is if they had really hurt me in some way. It’s not really revenge, but if they kind of made their bed I might not do much to stop them from their fall and get some schadenfreude from it. If I benefitted even better. I would never physically hurt someone. I would let them metaphorically hang themselves if they had tortured me. I would never lie or make up something to benefit myself or take advantage of another person.

Earthbound_Misfit's avatar

None. Money has never been so important to me I would consider ‘screwing someone over’ for it. I’d rather do without. In the end, I have to live with my own ethical behaviour and I value that higher than any monetary amount.

ARE_you_kidding_me's avatar

Honestly it depends on if they deserve to be screwed over or not.

JLeslie's avatar

Correction: in my answer I was thinking about other things than money. I would never screw someone for money, I wouldn’t sleep at night.

Golden rule and all that jazz.

fluthernutter's avatar

Depends on the person. And money wouldn’t really be a factor. If I was really motivated to screw someone over, I’d probably even take a loss.

I’d never screw anyone over for money. But I’m not above screwing someone over.

I wonder if this is the question where 42 is the answer to life, the Universe and everything?
