Do I annoy you?

Asked by josie (30934points) April 11th, 2015

My girlfriend says that it is a good thing she loves me so much because I can be sooo annoying.
Just wondered if it was universal.

These are really great answers! Thank you for you responses!

I really hate your politics. I hate them enough that I would never intentionally help you if your computer was acting up. I would never be friends with you in real-life.

You asked for the truth.

@johnpowell
Gosh, and things were going so well.
Don’t think much of your politics either, but if you ever need a helping hand, let me know. You can’t have too many friends.

dappled_leaves's avatar

No, you don’t annoy me. I find it hard to believe you actually hold some of the beliefs you appear to hold, though. It makes me shake my head sometimes.

You seem like a nice guy on a personal level. On a community or population level, perhaps less so. A lot of your thoughts seem to come out of an Ayn Rand novel.

Berserker's avatar

No. I remember you asking something similar before. Just don’t leave us dude. I admit, I don’t pay much attention to what people here say about politics, but I am still aware of your stances and views, to an extent. But I’m not bothered, or annoyed. You seem like a pretty cool guy.

@dappled_leaves
Ayn Rand- the Russian woman who was addicted to benzedrine. Which novel?

dappled_leaves's avatar

@josie Any one would do. ;)

No you don’t annoy me. I don’t share a lot of your beliefs, but I don’t find you annoying in your questions or answers.

Earthbound_Misfit's avatar

I often disagree with your politics and/or beliefs but I don’t usually find you personally annoying. Obviously, you might be quite different in person. It’s very easy to manage how annoying we appear to be in an online setting. You can moderate your responses before you make them. You do come across as being quite direct, outspoken and arrogant and those traits could be more annoying in real life. I can ignore you or even close the page if something you say irritates me. At home with your girlfriend, she doesn’t have that option.

Not at all. in fact despite politics I imagine that we would get along fine if we crossed paths in the real world.

@dappled_leaves
Which one do think is the best one?

janbb's avatar

You don’t annoy me though as others have said, I often disagree with your political stances. I’m glad we have some people around with different views. I suspect there’s a lot of both toughness and compassion in you in real life.

ucme's avatar

No, I have no fucking idea who you are & don’t care. Just another word on a screen.

nutallergy's avatar

I like you. I really like you.

hominid's avatar

I’m not entirely convinced you believe some of the things you say, and are looking for a reaction. I could be wrong, however. If you are just looking for a reaction, I suppose that’s annoying. But if you are legitimately offering up another opinion and are looking for a good discussion, then there is nothing annoying about that.

@josie You’re like what they warn us about in the Cialis commercial: A four hour prick that doesn’t go away.~ Hell no you don’t annoy me. You have some strong opinions and you have your reasons for them but you’re consistent and true to your views. I don’t know what your girlfriend finds annoying. Maybe you leave the seat up? Don’t mind clutter?

DrasticDreamer's avatar

Nope. I don’t always agree with all of your views, but I also don’t think you’re mean, which matters.

Mimishu1995's avatar

I don’t know you much, so no.

At least you haven’t pissed me off.

Blondesjon's avatar

No.

You arouse me.

but in all fairness so does @johnpowell

Blondesjon's avatar

you’re welcome

Blackberry's avatar

Nah, only my girlfriend and mother annoy me.

SQUEEKY2's avatar

We may not agree on much, but annoy naw.

dxs's avatar

Nope!

Pied_Pfeffer's avatar

Nah, I actually like you. But so does your girlfriend. If she were to fill us in on the details of your quirkiness that we aren’t privy to, it probably wouldn’t change my opinion, but I might side with her when it comes to being boyfriend material.

Hypocrisy_Central's avatar

You seem to be becoming a fellow irukanji.

No you don’t annoy me, even the people who are redacted don’t annoy me long, why allow them to steal my joy?

Berserker's avatar

^Ain’t no one ever gonna be a poisonous Japanese sea thang like j00 be, brah. XD

Apparently_Im_The_Grumpy_One's avatar

Maybe the digital representation of you has much more charisma.

cookieman's avatar

No, but there’s still time.

JLeslie's avatar

Not at all.

flutherother's avatar

No, you should try harder.

@Symbeline Ain’t no one ever gonna be a poisonous Japanese sea thang like j00 be, brah. XD
They are more prominant in Aussie waters. :-) :-p

Are you asking if (A) you are annoying (as the question seems to bear out) or are you asking (B) if girlfriends universally find their boyfriends annoying?

Either way, the answers are:

A. No, not most of the time.
B. Yes, they can always find something annoying.

fluthernutter's avatar

Haha…seems appropriate that I’m replying after @rojo.

No. But you might if you were my boyfriend.

Do you leave the toilet seat up? Do you nod yes when asked an “or” question?

Dutchess_III's avatar

Do you answer her in your mind, but not verbally, then get mad when she repeats the question?

Strauss's avatar

@josie You do not annoy me;

David_Achilles's avatar

@josie You know, you still don’t annoy me…but some of these other people are starting to get on my nerves
