What is the most beautiful place you've ever seen?

Have you ever seen a landscape or a place so beautiful it took your breath away? Where you felt like sitting and staring for hours on end?

One of mine was in an old abandoned factory. I was in one of the top floors, and part of the roof had caved in. Plants and moss were growing on the walls and sunlight had pierced down into the dark room. I stood there silently for at least a minute, staring, before I moved on.

Another was at the end of a creek flowing through a ravine near my house. There was a low hanging tree, and its branches trailed in the water. Dozens of black and gold dragonflies were perched on it, and the whole scene was completely silent except for the sound of the water. It was one of the most peaceful places I’ve ever seen, at the same time utterly still and full of life.
