Did Microsoft have this in mind when they sold XP?

So here I am reading for a paper I’m about to do for my history class, reading, and it’s about the byzantine empire.. blah blah, anyways, it talks about a shield which a body guard is holding, with the letters XP, after that it states that in the greek alphabet, X (chi) and P (rho), which when combined in greek refer to Christos.. Christ.

Microsoft=God anyone?
(or like to think so?)

Or pure coincidence, why was windows XP called XP anyways anyone know?
