Are muscular women attractive?

Asked by Cosmos (648points) May 15th, 2015

Does anybody find muscular bodybuilder women attractive? Would it be necessary to have a similar level muscularity to be compatible with such women?

Depends on the degree of mascularity, her face, bahavior and how she carries herself. If the femininity has gone, I guess it is not so atractive. Matter of taste but anything over the limits tends to look awful.

Probably not if she also has a lot of facial hair.

Athletic, yes. Professional bodybuilders, no. (Applies to men, also.)

Gabrielle from Xena warrior princess only looked better when she worked out. So I would say yes. Firm is sexy muscle bound not unless you have a muscle fetish .

It seems that you may be quietly asking whether or not a gal with a bodybuilder’s physique would go for a guy without one.

I say it all depends on what you are packing downstairs.

you know, like a bag of healthy snacks for her next workout or overnight luggage for the trip to jamaica you plan on surprising her with.

Well toned men and women are very attractive.

Too much is unattractive in both men and women.

Body builder type no. Highly toned and moderately ripped yes. You should have seen my amazing legs over the years. haha
Riding horse for decades, walking/jogging 3 miles a day. My ex husband was fixated on my legs. Thighs of steel. lol

I’m sure somebody finds that body type attractive.

I don’t think I can generalize here because it really depends on the woman. If the question is “are there any muscular women that you find attractive?” then my answer is “yes.” Here is one good example. On the other hand, here (seriously NSFW) is a muscular woman that I do not find particularly attractive. But if you look through the notes below, you’ll see that a number of people who reblogged the photo have very nice things to say about her.

As to your other question, I don’t think it would be necessary to have a similar level of muscularity to be compatible with such women. Nobody seems to think that muscular men require muscular women, so why think that muscular women require muscular men? If they have enough overlapping interests in other areas, I’m sure a muscular woman and a non-muscular man could work out just fine.

Not to me. I like women that have a body that resemble a uncooked loaf of bread.

I was told by a female professor of kineseology that it’s pretty close to impossible for a woman to get that bodybuilder look without steroids. Women who lift weights (even heavy weights, low reps) look more like gymnasts. Gymnasts are attractive, steroid users aren’t.

I know people like this. The thing that isn’t attractive is how obsessive they are about it and how much time and energy they use just on how they look. That is what I find very unattractive.

Also, Tracey (one of the girl’s I’m referring to) is with a wobbly bodied guy with a beer gut, so I don’t think these girls always look for fit guys.. but in Tracey’s case, she was considering his real estate holdings and income potential.

No, be like humping a sack full of cannonballs.

I go to the gym almost every day, mostly to run, and see ladies who are toned and in great shape. Other ladies are ripped/pumped like body builders. Personally I don’t find that attractive but I do admire them for taking good care of their body, hopefully it is done in a healthy way.

I don’t find them attractive, but I’m not going to criticize people who do.

superficial much?

Built like Arnold in his Conan days, no. Built like Rachel McLish during the 1st ever women’s bodybuilding competition, OH YEAH! A woman built like Arnold in Conan or a woman built like Jabba the Hutt…… c’mon….you actually think I own harpoons or a forklift? It would never be Jabba Girl.

Depends how muscular. Look up Lais Deleon, she’s perfect. Below is what I think is muscular but feminine:defined yet some body fat
Lais

As mentioned above previous posters, I admire more muscular women dedication but it’s not attractive to most people…but few do like it. Below is too much in my opinion.

Lais: Tab bit less six pack and a few inches less thigh, oh yeah.

Sherica: Little less thigh, deflate the fake boobs that would be an improvement though there is hardly none to be made.

Tana: Slightly softer thighs, less fake looking boobs, perfection (or close to it).

*Muscle bound chic: All that muscle is not that attractive to me but I would still take it before I brought out the harpoon for Jabba Girl.

Well, as an aside, clothes hang better on muscular people.
