In Alberta you can get 2 for 1 credit for staying a day in a remand center vs. a day in prison, what hypothetical could one get a 3 for one or more?

What if you can let someone get a greater deal so you can serve your sentence faster? What would that be?

I don’t even know what a “remand center” is, so I’m at a loss to contribute.
Is this a question where we need to know the Canadian legal system?
