Do you have experience with the program, "Popcorn Time"?

I think it has shut down

The only personal experience I have with it is in hearing the news that the entertainment industry is out to shut that sucker down as quickly as possible.

Apparently for the industry, the nightmare is that the system is very easily replicated.

There have been tons of versions since it is open source. Each time it dies another pops up.

If you do not understand Bittorrent and how to keep yourself safe when using Bittorrent do not even think about using popcorntime. It is basically a pretty front end on a torrent client that uses The Pirate Bay and Kickasstorrents to find files. When you are watching something on it you are uploading the part of the movie/tv you have already watched to other people. This is being monitored by Media companies and they will send copyright infringement notices to your internet provider.

If you really want to use it get a VPN that is overseas so your ISP can’t see what you are doing and the media companies can’t find out your IP.

I used to use the heck out of Limewire, and never had a problem.

Popcorn boldly proclaims:

This Popcorn Time service will never be taken down. Download and enjoy.”
