What's your opinion on this dating website that helps married people cheat?

I think it’s deplorable:

I don’t have any problem with the website itself. It’s fulfilling a need, I suppose. But the concept of “cheating” is an immoral one, so it makes me a little sad that there is a market for this.

This is kind of interesting

I could not care less. What other people do with themselves is of no concern to me.

I think it’s a sleazy venture to promote, capitalize and exploit crappy behavior, but it is the subscribers that are the truly guilty ones. Like any business if you don’t have a clientele there is no business.
Personally I would never be able to exploit behaviors I disagree with by operating a business for the sheer sake of gain at the expense of others. It’s called integrity, something the world is in short supply of these days.

What @Coloma said.
We have specific marriage vows for a reason. If you want an open wedding, then leave out the vows that say “forsake all others.”
Don’t be a lying POS.

Pretty much what @DoNotKnow said. But never mind the site—it’s the site users’ judgement I question. It’s tricky enough to maintain a secret life in the real world. Why would anyone try to do it in the virtual world rife with hackers. Dumb!

I had a wacked thought. Well, if you’re going to cheat, shouldn’t you be honest and upfront about it? Then I scratched my head. Huh?

@Adirondackwannabe That was kind of my thought!

At least you know you are getting a cheater at Ash Mad (as a lucky guy called it this morning.) Better than finding out from match dot com that she has a husband at home.

I feel the same as @zenvelo. At least they are up front about it on the site. Match.com had married folk that would try to see how far they could get before bringing up the spouse. Never ever ever even look or reply to anyone with “its complicated” as a marital status. As far as I can tell, it means, “I’m married, but I’m trying to pretend I’m not.”

Coloma's avatar

@keobooks Haha…yep, “It’s complicated” ” I am a cowardly weenie and don’t have the guts to get out of my marriage because…”
I always told those types “Shhhh, what’s that noise?” “Oh, I think it’s the wiener mobile honking for you.” nlol

The owners of the site are making tons of money by exploiting and facilitating the misery of others so if they got hacked, that’s just karma biting them in the ass.

And I couldn’t think of a more deserving target.

So their cash flow gets disrupted. Am I supposed to boo hoo about it and feel sorry for them ? I think not.
