Shall we bid a fond "RIP" to Theodore Bikel?

Asked by Strauss (23618points) July 22nd, 2015

Theodore Bikel! Folk singer, actor, composer, activist…true example of what a Renaissance man should be. He’s probably best known as an actor for his role in The Sound of Music. He also appeared in at least one production of Fiddler on the Roof.

He was a wonderfully talented performer whose work I enjoyed and admired all my life. If there’s an afterlife, I’m sure there’s an eternity of roles lined up for him.

Yes, him and EL Doctorow on the same day. Someone doesn’t like talented old Jewish guys.

Rest in peace.

I will miss him, we saw him in a theater production that was a one man show about ten years ago.

RIP. He was even in Frank Zappa’s 200 Motels.

2000 Motels! I’d forgotten all about that masterpiece!
