Either that or buy bigger shorts.

Yes..

However, this might go better if you asked for tips on losing weight.

Belly fat is a precursor to heart problems. Do you know what your cholesterol is?

Dude, from what I can see it was time 30 plus pounds ago. You’re 22. Get it under control now while you’re young.
Exercise and eating right will make a big difference in your life.

This seems to be a silly question. If your stomach is hanging over your pants, the answer is obvious.

Yes it is time.

5 foot 6? You need to drop 70 lbs. You can start today, cut out carbs and sugars completely, and nothing that mimics sugar. And start exercising tonight, go walk for forty five minutes.

I did it myself in 2013, dropped 60 lbs. But I was in my late fifties, you are in your early twenties. If you don’t lose weight now you will be diabetic by the time you are forty.

The shape you are in now is a one way ticket to heart disease, diabetes and high blood pressure. Healthy habits. If you drink alcohol, cut it right out. It will save tonnes of calories and you will have more energy to exercise.

Silly question, you know the answer.

Past time. But that’s ok.. I’ve been there. It takes a lot of mental discipline to lose it.. but more power to you for recognizing that it was time.

Yes and you should read this article about the dangers of fat for men. Especially the estrogen portion.
Get some blood work done for your cholesterol and get on a healthy diet and exercise program. Most people don’t know what is healthy for them to eat. Weight watchers actually works and you can learn with time how you may be contributing to your health issue. You may also need to learn if there are any health issues that may be causing your weight gain. For now it wouldn’t hurt to drink 8 glasses of water a day, give up all sugar drinks, eat veggies and fruit and cut your carbs down and eat meat that isn’t fried. Chicken and turkey are best and fish is excellent. Start walking at least a half hour to start once a day before going into some crazy work out program, join some sport, if you hate excercise. Oh and get a proper 8 hour of sleep every night. At 22 you still need plenty of sleep. Drop the beer. Lite beer is a joke. It is still fattening.

Yes.

Try a calorie counting site/app like MyFitnessPal. You log your height, weight, activity level etc and then the number of calories you need to eat a day is calculated. You then weigh and log everything you eat. I used this site for a year and lost 60lb. My top tips are:
* Weigh everything you eat (I know I said that already but trust me on this one)
* Don’t try and lose too much at once. 1 or 2 lbs is fine; over that and it is hard to lose that much food from your diet.
* Weigh yourself once a week
* take exercise as you will feel better (but remember losing weight is mainly about the kitchen.)

Good luck. You’ve already done a hard thing and faced up to it

Yeah. Run on the treadmill or the elliptical and then do some planks and bicycles. Eat healthy, too.

Does anyone else see the face of a puppy in that picture? haha
Yep, time to trim down, get plenty of protein, low fat, low carb, lots of fresh fruits and veggies and take that dog for a walk. Good luck!

cazzie's avatar

@Coloma What puppy?

Coloma's avatar

@cazzie His nipples are the eyes and his belly button is the nose to form the face of a puppy/dog. His arms are the floppy ears. haha
Look again, you can see the face, like cloud watching. lol

cazzie's avatar

@Coloma I think only with the help of your special brownies.

Adirondackwannabe's avatar

It’s a stretch but he kind of resembles Huckleberry Hound from the cartoons.

Coloma's avatar

@cazzie Haha…no happy brownies here, just an active imagination, hey..that visual just popped up, what can I say? lol

@Adirondackwannabe There ya go…you see the dog in his belly too. lol

Yes. Sorry. It’s good you’re looking at it now, if you wait you will be as big as a house when you’re 40.
