What do you think of Michelle Pfeiffer's character in the movie "Dangerous Minds"?

She has the role of a High School English teacher to a bunch of tough, inner city kids. Is she a tough, believable teacher to you? Do you think another actress would have been a better choice?

I haven’t seen the movie, but if part of the plot is showing how she adapts to the tough environment, she certainly has the acting skills to develop the character throughout the movie.
