How do you remove dark spots on your face?

Asked by Ckf (7points) September 4th, 2015

Are the dark spots moles? They don’t look or feel like regular moles.

Are they new? Are they irregularly shaped? Probably best to find a dermatologist, skin cancer can kill.

if they’re sun spots, a glycol toner is really helpful. I like Peter Thomas Roth 10% Glycolic toner
although, it might be to strong for some people. It does have sting to it and if you have sensitive skin it could make you peel.

Depends what is causing them. You would want to rule out cancer. Once you do, the best thing is to not allow your skin to receive any sun either by staying in the shade or using SPF. If you are very white/pale skinned it might correct itself in it’s own just going that. If you are dark, it might not work or take a really long time of no sun. If you are pregnant, or taking hormones it might be a pregnancy mark. Avoiding the sun helps with that. When the hormones normalize again it will help also.

I’ve heard lemon can help reduce dark spots, I don’t know if that’s true. A dermatologist can prescribe bleaching creams that really work.
