Anyone besides me think that The Dark Knight was just pretty good, and nothing special?

I thought Joker and Dent were great, though.

I thought it was an awesome movie. Joker and Dent definitely stole the show though

I saw the movie last night. I really enjoyed the movie, but I wouldn’t say it was anything incredible. I would’ve liked to have seen how The Joker became who he is.

BLASPHEMOUS! The Dark Knight was one of the best action-drama pieces of cinema that Hollywood has ever produced!

Iunno.. The movie was hyped way too much, but it still blew me away. I loved it

I went into that movie expecting one of the greatest movies ever. My expectations couldnt even have prepared me for how great this movie was. I was blown away, and have since seen it two more times.

I really, really liked it. Definitely the best Batman movie to date, whatever that’s worth (and although I loved Jack Nicholson as the Joker, his portrayal was nothing compared with Ledger’s). I’m trying to figure out where it fits into my “all-time best” list. I think I ought to see it again (perhaps on IMAX!) because I’m really interested in the themes explored in the movie, and I’m not sure which side of the fence I come down on.

I’m with you @JohnnyCeltics. I thought it fell a little short of Batman Begins (which I loved). While Ledger’s performance was great, I was underwhelmed by the arc of the movie… it felt a little too thinly held together. It was overflowing with darkness and grit (which is fine) but it was missing the epic nature and the tightness of Batman Begins. I thought the whole Two-Face plot line was weak. Overall, it was just not written that well.

Still a great flick, though.

I hate, HATE comic books and superheroes and all that type of “entertainment.” But I am in love with this movie, mainly because of Heath’s Joker, which is definitely the best Joker to date (Just because I don’t like them, doesn’t mean I didn’t see the past films.) But I was super un-impressed with Christian Bale. His borderline-lisp was driving me insane.

I was surprised by how much violence was in it for the PG-13 rating.

Other than that, I really liked it. I saw it on IMAX while on holiday, will probably watch it again, although it’ll have to be on a regular screen. No IMAX theatres nearby :0(

I’m not sure it’s a better movie than Godfather II or all the other movies it knocked out of the #1 spot on IMDB, but as someone who’s seen way too many movies in the theater, watching Dark Knight on screen was probably the best time I’ve ever had at the cinema.
