What might the outcome of the University of California, Merced, assault been if the attacker had had access to a gun rather than a knife? [Link]?

“The stabbing victims’ injuries do not appear to be life-threatening, officials said. Both of the students injured were men, and as of Thursday morning, one student remained hospitalized, UC Merced Chancellor Leland said. The other was treated and released. The staff member suffered a collapsed lung and was recovering after a successful surgery, Leland said.”

A person could say that this outcome was a triumph of gun control; there would be several dead people if a gun had been used, but instead we have four living people with knife wounds. So if this isn’t a testament to the efficacy of gun control, I don’t know what is.

But the NRA is going to spin it and construe it in some self-serving justification. Facts don’t matter, if you’re a gun nut,
