My oldest friend. I respect her judgment more and more every day.

Nobody. The things I do, I do to benefit myself, or someone else.
I don’t need approval, just profit, appreciation, or acceptance.

It depends what I’m being praised for. If it’s a personal attribute then my husband or children.

If it’s a work issue, then colleagues, reviewers and/or my bosses. I love my husband, but he thinks all my writing is fabulous. He’s not a great reviewer. When someone who is appointed to critique my work gives me great feedback, that feels great. (If they don’t, it also hurts most).
