What are your top 5 favorite books?

Asked by imrainmaker (8380points) February 19th, 2016 from iPhone

Seems like most of the people over here are good readers and read hundreds of books. So what are your top 5 ( fine if more than that..)) all time favorite books?

I can’t make a list. I love reading but the books I love change all the time. I rarely re-read a book. I have read one book several times but it’s not my favourite book. The books I like depends on my mood as well. I can’t choose five. Don’t make me!

Lord of the Rings (I know, three books)
Far from the Madding Crowd
Hawaii
A Wizard’s First Rule
The Way of Kings…

It’s really hard to pick five favorites out of all the books I’ve read.

Most of my favorite books are for younger audiences, but they just happen to be the books that resonated with me most when I read them back in school. I read tons of books, but none have impacted me as much as these have! (Yet..)

Listed in no particular order:

Hatchet
Island of the Blue Dolphins
Number the Stars
Any book by Beverly Cleary
Warm Bodies

I don’t think I can make a list. I like too many books, and what one book does for me at a certain point might not be able to do for me at a different point. I would have to go back through the years and choose based on my age.

However, two that would always be on there, no matter what, would be: Orlando and The Little Prince.
