Isn't Twilight just a watered down version of Joss Whedon's "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Angel"?

They are basically the same story lines its just that Stephenie Meyer’s version is a watered down version.

I’m not dissing Buffy and Angel by the way. Just making the observation that Meyer’s pretty much took the very basic concept of it, and took it in all the wrong directions.
