What elements of life’s journey tilt your wagon in a direction you have little to no control over that you find yourself grinding your teeth?

Unpaid bills make me grind my teeth but they have an entirely different
effect on my husband. He grew up with unpaid bills as there were 7 kids
in his family. My family never had an unpaid bill growing up so when you
get to be an adult you look at these things differently. How can unpaid
bills NOT stress you out? Some people they just don’t.

People being consistently late. I get that some lateness can’t be helped, stuff happens, but people that are late as a matter of course make me nuts.

The sound of my mother-in-law’s voice. She’s an unpleasant person who talks down to me and answers yes-or-no questions with 20-minute monologues. She’s my husband’s mother – he loves her, something that I respect and support – so I’ve been biting my tongue for many years.

Self-centered people who think because they do something nice they are the God of everyone else. Well, how about the other not nice things you do?

<grinding teeth so hard it hurts>

@josie I wish I had your resolve. Ever since my mom’s biopsy confirmed she has a glioblastoma tumor this morning…exercise has done very little to mitigate the grinding of my teeth. Grinding as I type.

@Cruiser I’m very sorry to hear that.

@Cruiser Yes, so sorry to hear that as well.

The thought of a new Hundai econo sedan being literally capable of blowing the doors off my lovingly rebuilt from the ground up 1989 300ZX 5 speed. But hey, I’m one click of the T-Tops away from reality bending vintage serenity.

@Cruiser I’m so sorry to hear that.

Pretentious, self-absorbed, attention-grabbing people at work. They exhaust me.
The thought of actually quitting my (comfortably paying) job and moving many states away to go back to school full-time. Soon.
Taking out loans to pay for one kid in college and two in daycare.
