Cruise ship crap.

@ucme Meh each to their own

ucme's avatar

Oh dear, user asks for opinions & whines when they’re not in agreement hahaha.

NerdyKeith's avatar

@ucme I’m not whining haha. Its ok, you don’t like his music. Thats absolutely fine. Like I said “each to their own.”

I’m sure there are some types of music you like that I don’t. Its all good.

The use of “meh” was significant.
He just sounds like a thousand other second rate cabaret acts, that’s all.

NerdyKeith's avatar

@ucme Lol when I use “meh” it usually means I’m shrugging my shoulders ;)

Ok thats a fair opinion to have. We can agree to disagree.

Better ;-}

I love Adam Lambert, and have since his American Idol Days. I thought that he should have won that year. Not only does he have a great voice, but he is a great song stylist and musician. I’m looking forward to him appearing on Idol this Thursday, debuting his new song.

One of my favorite moments was his performance of Mad World.

NerdyKeith's avatar

@marinelife Oh his Mad World performance was amazing, I must say.

I agree he’s a really great performer and showman.

ucme's avatar

Arrrggghhhh!!!
I refuse to even acknowledge let alone listen to him warble his way through that Tears for Fears classic. Bad enough when Gary Jules ruined it in his melancholy rendition.

marinelife's avatar

@ucme Stuck in the 80s much? I liked the Gary Jules version (and the movie it was in, Donnie Darko) a lot.

ucme's avatar

@marinelife Not stuck in the 80’s at all, just showing quality taste for the far superior original as opposed to the dross cover versions.

@ucme Chacun a son gout.

dappled_leaves's avatar

Boring. Sounds like everyone else.
Where are the people who hate vocal fry when it’s coming from a man?

ucme's avatar

@marinelife Indeed, maybe if you’d just accepted that in the first instance

American Idol liked him. He’s OK. Way, way WAY WAY better than me! But so are Alvin and the Chipmunks .

tinyfaery's avatar

I saw him with Queen and he was awesome. If the guys of Queen think he is good enough to perform with then who cares what others think.

dammitjanetfromvegas's avatar

I liked him on American Idol and I like him now.

I’m not that familiar with Adam Lambert’s music.

I watched 3 videos and an interview because of your question, and I’ll say that I certainly understand his popularity. Great singing voice, charismatic and seems to put on a good show.

I’m not in a rush to run out and buy an album.

I’m pleased his music brings you joy. If I get a chance, I’ll give more of it a listen.
I like Buble, so I’m not a pop hater. lol

NerdyKeith's avatar

@ibstubro Awesome good to hear. And I love Buble too, he’s awesome

ibstubro's avatar

Yeah, @NerdyKeith, sometimes it only takes one song to hook you on an artist.
I’ll hear strands of a song, hunt it down, and be hooked.

Not happened with Lambert, but pop songs usually find me, not the other way around.

NerdyKeith's avatar

Thats true @ibstubro. Although with myself the song Runnin by Lambert got me hooked.
