If you had a friend that you spoke to the same way you speak to yourself, how long do you think that person would stay your friend?

Half day. Tops.

I’m pretty hard on myself.

WE would get married.

I can UNDERSTAND you!

You sound like an American newsreader. You don’t have to modify your speech to interact with Siri.

YOU SIR, are Awesome.

The subtle nuances of language come through with you. You are god’s gift to telephone technical support.

We’ve been getting along much better in the last few years!

I’d hope that the voice in my head personified as female. I’d be getting laid a lot more than I am, for one thing.

Forever. I am brutally honest with myself, and I would appreciate the same in return.

Today is not the day to be asking this question.

I’d be cussing her out within about 2 seconds.

I never say mean things about myself, to myself, and I never go off on friends.
Oh, I bitch under my breath about things and sometimes other people that annoy me on occasion sure, who doesn’t?
Infact, at risk of sounding egotistical, I like myself better than anyone else I know and am my own best friend, so that takes care of that. haha

I do not suffer others shitty moods gladly, if I am in a bad mood I keep to myself until it passes and don’t take it out on others. I expect the same from others or you won;t be in my life for long,

I’m much harder on myself than I ever am on other people. I’m working on this. I have high expectations of myself and I push myself hard. I have much greater empathy for other people.

Null answer. We would not be around each other long enough to become friends.

I’m usually friendly enough to myself. I roll my eyes a lot, so that would get annoying.

By and large, I don’t seem to “speak to myself” a lot. I have a tendency to talk to inanimate objects I’m manipulating. As in, I don’t say, “You idiot, press a little harder and the screwdriver will stay in there!” I’ll more likely say, “I’ll press a little harder and that stubborn bastage will stay in there!”

On the other hand, I have to admit, “I roll my eyes a lot, so that would get annoying.”

Oops. I think that means I just completely duplicated @longgone‘s entire answer?

I’ve k8nd of become nicer to myself recently, so I guess we could be friends. Now I kind of just jokingly insult myself.

@ibstubro Plagiarism is flattery, right?

(At least I wasn’t duplicitous, @longgone.)
