Have you ever experienced a life changing scenario that was quite unexpected?

A friend of mine watched ‘The Secret’ and it changed her life. Another person I was friends with a few years back, read a book that made a huge impact on how she perceived life in general and it changed her.

In my life, I have met people who have really impacted on my life and changed it for the better. Or, should I say, changed how I looked at life in a huge way.

I guess you could say, we should be or could be learning all the time. New ways to do things, new ways to look at things sometimes this is a message in a book or a message from another person. A movie, a video, or just a thought that popped into our mind.

I am finding the teachings of Buddha very calming for me at this time of my life.

Years go, I enjoyed the philosophies or teachings of Louise Haye really made an impact on my life and my life changed dramatically. So much so, it was quite astonishing, however, It could have been that I was ready for the change anyway?

These days not much inspires me, I’d love to hear if you’ve had any scenario that inspired you enough to make changes, or change you in a way that was lasting, this could include people, books, teachings or even self-realizations that have changed things around for you, in a lasting way?

I read the autobiography of Gandhi and became a lifelong vegetarian shortly after that. I met a friend at work who had been a vegetarian for many years, and he showed me how easy, or at least how manageable, it was, to stop eating animals, and to do it in a healthy way (I’m no Cheetos vegetarian, Lol). I’ve been a vegetarian since 1990. It was a bit harder back then to give up eating meat, but now, because of all of the choices, and because of the ease of learning how to do it in a healthy way, that can be researched very easily on the internet, it’s pretty easy.

Quite a few! From the day when I first saw a good English book that inspired me to take English seriously to the day when I found Fluther and realized that my mind needed to change. As I grow up I experience more changes than before. One thing I realize that anything can protentially be influential, as long as you are aware enough and quick enough to grab the chance.
