Chocolate is my favourite comfort food, so addicted to the stuff. My favourite chocolate is actually Irish made chocolate, its called Butler’s Chocolate. I’m not sure if its sold outside Ireland. But it is amazing.
We have Butler’s Chocolate Cafés all over Ireland and if you get a hot drink they give you a free chocolate.
It’s really hard to pick just one.
And green bananas. I just had one.
One or two grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup.
When it’s really hot, a chocolate milkshake.
When it’s really cold, chili or potato soup.
Good macaroni and cheese!
@ibstubro I heard that they changed the ingredients in Kraft Mac and Cheese. They got rid of the coloring and added paprika.
Chicken broth & chicken soup
Things from my childhood. A bowl of lamb stew (my husband can make stew that is very similar to the stew my dad made) reminds me of my Dad and when I used to walk in the door after school to that lovely smell of cooking stew.
Or a pork pie. Very hard to find here in a non-soggy form. So it’s an occasional treat.
Vimto. I love Vimto. Again, a rare treat when I can find a bottle of cordial. I don’t like the fizzy stuff.

Have you ever noticed that, in packaged foods, “cheese” seems to be equated with “salt”?
Real cheese has flavor, dammit!
I’ve got a few: baked homemade macaroni and cheese, cheese pizza, donuts, chili, buttered toast with a bowl of either Raisin Bran or Grapenuts, whole milk, and This.
Pasta. No further considerations necessary. I’m cooking a bowl of rotini now.
Not really a food but for comfort I like going down on my wife.
Ice cream. Alternatively, cereal.
Don’t seek comfort in grub, laughing & joking as well as exercise is the way to go
