Can i still get polaroid SX-70 film any where even though it's discontinued?

Asked by genevievejones (112points) July 28th, 2008

I just got an old polaroid “pronto” SE camera from the mid 80’s. Originally it was made to be used with SX-70 film but will take 600. I’m curious to see what the product will look like with the old film though so i’d like to get my hands on some. Moreover, since the film was discontinued in 2005 do you think any stock of it I get will still have the same potency?

@trogdor – yes, but if you read the last part of the question…she’s also asking if the film will be any good if it has been sitting on a shelf for 3 or more years…

check out this article…someone commented on the article that you can freeze film to give it a longer shelf life. i would be leery of buying film from someone on ebay unless you can’t find it anywhere else..you never know how long they’ve had it. Also, here is a link to a google search on the film you are looking for. There are plenty of people who sell it and there is some film that you can use but you have to modify the camera to use it. Polaroid has some information about modifying your camera.
