In your opinion, is this kind of speech okay?

“First get her gang banged by well endowed HIV prisoners, then drop her in boiling oil for 1 hour, and then serve her boiled ass to the wild dogs!”

“Scald her for 25 minutes first, then death by firing squad.”

“I hope she gets burned and abused to the most severe level possible by big Bertha!”

“Start by putting her in scalding water one body part at a time. Hold her in until her skin starts to blister than take her out and let her recoup a bit. Put her back in. Repeat until she’s begging for mercy and bleeding like a stuck pig.”

These are all comments left on this news article about a woman who murdered her four-year-old stepson by submerging him in scalding water for 25 minutes, then putting him to bed, where he was found dead by his father 17 hours later.

I believe that what this woman did is worthy of the death penalty. But I don’t see the value in indulging these sorts of violent revenge fantasies. I understand where these people are coming from but I don’t that any good can come from saying things like this. Not to say that having these thoughts makes you (the general you) as bad as this monster, but these are nevertheless monstrous thoughts.

Is this kind of speech okay? Is it okay to give expression to violent, gory fantasies or advocate torture, as long as the person it’s directed toward is a bad person?

I feel like I’m not articulating this well.
