Are there examples of data-driven precrime analytics working?
In the U.S. or anywhere else. Kind of like the movie Minority Report, but not fake and cartoonish. It’s the real deal. The technology has been out there since at least 2011. I think the technical term used in Law Enforcement is, or used to be, “forecasting”.
So, examples where personal data has been collected, datamined with predictive analytic algorithms, and prevention of a crime from happening by that person – including terrorism. Is there documented evidence of such a thing?
Note: I realize the NSA/FBI & GCHQ/MI-5 are not able to publish such ..twartings in order to keep the (~cough~ illegal and extra-Constitutional) data sources secret for “national security” reasons, but have any examples been published?
