Draining tube clogging up, any alternatives or solutions?

Asked by Rethroz (38points) May 5th, 2016

We are speaking of medical terms, a tube inserted into the stomach to drain the acids.
If this tube continues clogging up, may it be the sinuses draining, or is it a completely different problem? And if so, are there any alternatives to clearing up this tube or avoiding the clogging?
Thank you for taking the time to respond.

The person should go see the doctor.

Your sinuses are inside your head. So if the tube is in your stomach it wouldn’t be sinuses. You should talk to your doctor.

PICC lines, Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter, are sometimes placed in patients receiving chemotherapy or oter long term medications. They too have the problem of plugging up occasionally. Some patients are given syringes preloaded with 5% Saline so they can clean and flush out the lines. This is not recommended for everyone. They need to understand the procedure.but it definitely works with the right patient.

When a doctor tells you to go to the doctor…..Go to the doctor.

When the medical writer tells you to go see a doctor, you should go see a doctor, too. This question shows errors on a few levels. GET THE Patient to a DOCTOR!
