If that’s supposed to be a link, it’s not a link.

Probably not maybe so what no way.

They look really tiny on my screen. Are you really that tiny? Even if you did look fat in them, I’d probably be more interested in how incredibly tiny you were, and not notice your concern of looking fat. Unless you pointed it out, and diverted my attention away from your crazy tininess.

The question takes me back to Mariah’s question about salary inequities.

It is not the clothing that makes one look fat.
Fat makes one look fat.
Are you fat?

are you sure low-rise is your thing?

@jca He just forgot the first quotation mark. Here is what he was trying to post.

You’d have to be awfully skinny, and about 14 years old, to not look ridiculous in them. If you have extra fat it’ll be oozing out around the waist band.

Yes. They would make you look fat.

I think it depends on your body shape. My guess is you’d have to be fairly skinny for those.

Those jeans, yes, that’s why they are called “Skinny” jeans. All other jeans don’t make you look fat, your fat makes you look fat. lol

Sorry the link was messed up.
Thanks @johnpowell and @Dutchess_III for re-posting it.

I think @RealEyesRealizeRealLies pointed out the silliness this question intended.

I’m not fat, @ragingloli and I can cover the tiny tummy bulge.
I’m groovin’ on the low rise thing, @BellaB. Hip huggers are a blast from my past.
I’ve been wearing them, @Dutchess_III, and I’ve not gotten any negative feedback. But, then again, how many people are checking out a 55 yo guy?
Thanks, @Buttonstc, I appreciate your honesty, and you may be right. They seem to make most people look fat. Many proudly, and that worries me.
I’m 5’9”, 150#, 55yo male, @AshlynM.
Ah, @Coloma, finally, are you calling me fat?

You don’t sound fat to begin with, so you probably wouldn’t look fat in these pants. Being an early 50ish female, I do check out 50ish fellows. I don’t mind a wee bit of a poochy tummy, but low rise jeans tend to over emphasize even the tiniest of pooches, so who knows. I like the jeans.

Slightly chubby fellows look cute. Slightly chubby females tend not to. Not to themselves, and according to the internet, not to other males or females, which is a shame, because most of us are not built like Keira Knightley : (

I don’t know what you look like, but no, not if you wear them right. They’re stylish jeans and plenty of men your age could easily pull them off. I notice the way older men look, and I’m 31. I’m a people watcher, though.

The question was sort of a joke, but the jeans I wear are sized 31R and I have to pull them up a lot unless they’re freshly laundered.
My spare tire probably only has about 5 pounds of pressure. I sure the hell don’t wear skinny shirts with the jeans. A medium polo shirt of the “athletic” style that comes to just below my belt hides 90+ percent.

Funny, I bought the jeans for resale, saying “At least they fit me, even if I’d never wear them!” Then I started wearing a pair of semi-skinny jeans and loved them.
Muscle memory? The first pair of jeans I owned that hugged the calves of my legs were in, I believe, 1979. The year I graduated HS, and sex was never more than seconds from my 17 yo boy’s mind.

I know it’s not politically correct to mention it, but these jeans make this 55 yo guy feel sexy. Not, “I’m too sexy for my jeans” sexy, but randy, flirtatious, sexually aware, sexy. (And not horny fat old goat, sexy, @Coloma)!

And I had my middle aged crisis 16 years ago, thank you very much. They’re just jeans, not Viagra.

My basic answer to questions such as this are that if you have to ask, you probably already know the answer but are not willing to accept it.
