Have you ever made Jello Water?

Asked by Buttonstc (27605points) August 14th, 2016

Or did your mom give it to you in childhood?

I had never heard of it until reading the instructions on the ER discharge sheet.

So I did a web search and encountered conflicting info on just exactly how it’s made.

So, I’d be interested in hearing from other Flutherites.

First time I tried to make Jello shots I used Everclear. (Wanted the girls to get naked.) I used too much, and too powerful a liquor. The newly created ‘substance ’ could be called a sort of alcoholic jello water.

The girls got naked anyway, go Everclear ;)

I’ve never heard of Jello Water. Given it’s on an ER discharge sheet, I’m not sure its the same as Jello shots! I hope we’re talking something different!

Cool story, Mr. Cosby.

Let’s keep the gloves up @Call Me Jay. They get naked because they like the attention. I’ve now known those girls for 20 years. That was a bit ago…..

I didn’t spike it. They were VERY aware it was full of alcohol.

Anyway, I’m not trying to pollute this thread. That was the only time I ever ‘made’ jello. Otherwise I bought it in little cups.

The fact that it didn’t solidify was what made me think of jello water.

@Earthbound_Misfit

No, I wasn’t referring to jello shots (since jello water is most frequently used for kids)

Since I did put this in Social, I can hardly complain about slightly wacky tangents :)

And since it made me smile, lurve to all.

But if anyone knows anything about this, minus the alcohol, that would be nice.

@MrGrimm888 I was making a joke, no offense was intended. Sorry about that.

Jello water was probably what some moms made en route to making Jello popsicle. Full-strength jello doesn’t make good popsicles (Mrs. P tried – they were super rubbery and nasty).

It’s all good @Call Me Jay.

I assume that the ER was trying to get the patient some minimum calories and sugar. Much like when people are given chicken broth. It’s a more tolerable form of nutrition when someone is dealing with nausea.
