Speaker/sound help for computer?

My speakers randomly started playing everything echoey and it’s pretty bad. I tried unplugging and plugging it back in and fooling around with the settings but it doesnt seem to get fixed. help.

Could be a virtual mixer setting, try opening up either your Windows default sound mixer, or any 3rd party sound mixer (Sound Blaster Card’s Mixer Software, for instance).

Additionally, try reinstalling the drivers. You never know about drivers, once I fixed a PC that played NO audio by installing fresh drivers, despite the fact that the device manager showed the sound card was 100% functional.

Plug in headphones directly to the computer, if they sound normal then your speakers are dying. If not, then you messed up some setting and try UNINSTALLING old drivers first, then reinstalling them.

If you have Realtek audio manager do this:
Control Panel > Realtek.
and adjust the sound effect.
