Why does my cat sleep on my feet?

She loves you and wants to make your feet warm.

Your cat loves you very much. And, if kitty throws herself on the ground at your feet and rolls around, that’s a loving greeting and request for attention.

Some people will tell you that the cat-feet connection is all about body heat. I’ve never agreed with that idea; an affectionate cat will camp out on your feet even during very hot weather.

I do know your pulse is very strong in your feet and perhaps your kitty likes the feel of your heart beat.

I have two cats. The mom and her daughter. The mom always sleeps near my feet. Not on them but about six inches away. The daughter likes to sleep on or right next to my chest. No clue why since cats can’t talk.

Warmth and familiar smell.

A friend’s cat sleeps with one paw on my ankle, like I’ve been claimed as property, or he doesn’t want me to get away unnoticed.

If it’s not meant for sits, why is it made of warm?
