I’m guessing his poor wife is thinking that it’s going to be very difficult for her because she doesn’t speak English very well. I noticed that she kept getting a quizzical look on her face during the Alfred E. Smith Memorial Dinner. He was making jokes and it seemed fairly obvious that she didn’t get them, simply because of the language barrier.
