Should civilian drones have altimeters?

So they can follow altitude laws?

I would guess that some do already. That’s the kind of thing nerds love.

I have a Fitbit wristband ($45 on eBay) and it has an altimeter. The hardware must be really cheap.

The Fitbit was interesting for a couple of weeks but I’m done with it. Back to eBay with you, my Fitbit friend!

They are restricted to 400 meters off the ground and you have to maintain visual sight. They come programmed with pressure altimeters as well as GPS and are programmed to return to you if they get too far away.

BBE is getting his license to drive them in the unrestricted airspace above his laboratory to further his storm and lightning research.
