Yep. It’s got what plants crave.

It can help plants, but only in moderation. Gatorade is really just sugar water. It has the same benefit as it would for you if dehydrated and needing energy. But just as it is bad for you to have too much, it is not good for plants to get too much.

You can give it to them. Will they survive…

In days of yore, I learned this recipe which is pretty much “Gatorade”, but costs pennies per gallon.

I don’t know how plants would like it.

- 1 packet any flavor of unsweetened Kool-Aid or similar product for making 2 quarts
- 8 tablespoons (½ cup) sugar
- 3/8 teaspoon of salt
- 1/8 teaspoon salt substitute that contains potassium chloride
- 2 quarts of water

You can but I have found that my ivy prefers Powerade. She says it is something about the sweetness that she prefers.

Given that plants manufacture their own sugar I doubt they care about the sugar.

Water is cheaper, is better for plants and the environment generally. Even humans should twice before drinking Gatorade.

Interesting question. Since the net result of photosynthesis is the production of sugar, I wonder if a plant would stop photosynthesizing if it were given enough sugar water.
