In regards to free enterprise has the US lost the ability to channel its inner immigrant? (Details inside)

Asked by Hypocrisy_Central (26879points) November 26th, 2016

With Castro gone, a horde of specials, shows talking about what businesses exist, and or thrive under the communist regime. Many businesses seem to press forward even under draconian rules and laws of the Cuban government. Has the US lost that ability be resourceful over extreme obstacles? The average Cuban seem to be overcomers who are demined to thrive in spite of sandbags and roadblocks, why does it seem some (maybe more than a few) Americans fail to try or quit at the first obstacle or difficulty when embarking on an entrepreneurial endeavor?

Yes, and the election of Trump represents it. Uneducated whites want to be protected from foreign competition, want their corporate non union jobs with benefits, and don’t want immigrants to come here and work hard.

The Cubans realized once their “special” funding from the Soviet Union dried up that they needed to open their economy. Cuba invested in people (in education and health care) and it has paid off well.

That means uneducated Blacks and Hispanics don’t care that their jobs go overseas, want union jobs whether they get benefits or not, and don’t care if the jobs go to overseas competition, or maybe even having a shop steward at the burger place?

@Hypocrisy_Central I didn’t say that. Don’t put words in my mouth, you get all uppity when people do that to you.

African Amercicans and Hispanics and Asians all know they can compete against any other country to do well, provided they are not discriminated against by snowflake whites who think they need protection.

OK, let’s cut the fat and get to the tendons, why would ”lily white” uneducated whites not be fearful of Hispanics, Blacks, and Asians here taking their jobs? Does that mean every ”lily white” person of the party of Twiddle Dee are educated or highly educated because if there were any that wasn’t educated, they would favor Jim crow laws? Does that mean uneducated Hispanics, Blacks and others of the Party of Twiddle Dee don’t fear for their jobs by those overseas as much or at all as the uneducated whites of the party of Twiddle Dumb?

I don’t know what you mean by your personal code words for different parties mean, so quit being cute and call them by their real names.

Uneducated (high school at the most) whites as a demographic are scared shitless of losing their white privilege. It has been freaking them out for eight years with a black man in the White House. They think. They are special and need protection through tariffs and prohibitions on trade because they can’t compete.

Blacks, Hispanics, and Asians know, that if they work hard they can get ahead except for the inherent biases of the white dominant culture.
