Feb 09 digital TV transfer?

I currently own a HDTV and I am getting my HDTV channels through a HDTV antenna. Will my antenna still work in Feb 09 when all TV signals are transferred to digital only?

Yes, it will work. The frequencies are the same, occupying the same bands as highband VHF and UHF channels up through 51, as I recall. You might get better reception if you put the antenna on a mast, but if it’s working now, it should continue to work just as well when the analog broadcasts shut down in 0209.

I had to get a converter box, and it’s already worth it for the extra channels. I get all-weather channels and 3 PBS channels now!
