You find yourself stuck in an isolated place, what would you choose from the survival list?

For giggles, let’s say you were stranded in a harsh isolated place near water, like a lake, river, brook, etc. You can choose seven items from the supply list, which five items would you choose that you feel would best help you?
Supply list:
• 5 100’ rope coils
• Magnifying glass.
• Fishing kit with lures.
• Hatchet.
• Axe.
• Machete.
• Survival knife.
• Case of 60 rolls of duct tape.
• Hammer with 15 250 pc boxes of nails.
• A 16×20 heavy duty tarp.
• Folding chair.
• Flint and striker
• 30.6 rifle with 380 rounds.
• Crossbow with 15 bolts
• 55 gal plastic barrel.
• More than puppy but not full grown Doberman Pincer.
• More than puppy but not full grown blood hound
• More than puppy but not full grown bird dog.
• 3 Battery operated camp lanterns.
• Cook stove with 30 canisters of propane.
• Stitching own and 3 spools of cat gut.
• Rain slicker.
• 4 bags of 20” zip ties.
• 8 pairs of ratcheting tie downs.
• 3 sticks of TNT.
• 23 40lb sacks of charcoal.
• DVD player with solar charger.

Think wisely, you can only choose seven items, which would they be?

Fishing kit, an axe, a knife, a hammer with nails, a crossbow, and nothing else. I don’t know what are those rest you named. Therefore, I don’t need it.

Really depends a lot on the location, weather, season, other terrain, and general situation (like who else is around, how long the expected stay is, how far to nearest civilization, threats, etc).

Parameters to help you (others might see it more general), location: dense forest boarding high desert like terrain with a river three miles away; season: late winter to early spring; company: you are totally alone; expected stay: unknown but bracing for 4–6 weeks; distance to civilization: est 75–92 miles, none of it flat.; threats, wild beast and snakes.

Ok, cool, thanks. I think I’m going with this, and hoping the fishing and foraging is good:

• Fishing kit with lures. (fishing)
• Axe (or machete, but probably axe) (wood, weapon)
• A 16×20 heavy duty tarp. (dry shelter for self and for wood & kindling)
• Flint and striker (for starting fires)
• Cook stove with 30 canisters of propane. (for much easier cooking)

Build camp in woods, and/or scout for route to try to explore & follow river downstream to civilization when weather is solidly good enough.
