What fun country/mountain words and phrases do you know?

I said I reckon about something yesterday. I haven’t said reckon in a long time.
I was going to probe my memory for some of those other colorful country expressions. I decided to be lazy about it, and let jellies have a crack at bringing them back to life.
You could make a list, but funner would be to relate them in the form of some sort of story.
