The “Pins” in the future will be of interest to the Tweeter and Bannon.

Fluther has been operating at a loss and pretty independently of Jelly for some time. I think they might have been hoping to join the two presale – just a guess – but when the Flutherers didn’t jump, things stayed as they are. I hope they’ll continue to support us as Ben’s first child now that they presumably have even more money.

It has been less than a month since Ben made some improvements to Fluther. He certainly knew then about the sale of Jelly. If we were going to be shut down, I doubt he would have made the improvements. I could be mistaken. I certainly hope Fluther is not shuttered.

I have branched out to Quora. There are a lot of questions there, which is not surprising. The quality of the questions is often very low. Many times, there are no details for the question, so it can be difficult to understand. However, I must say I’m enjoying that there are a lot of questions about mental health, my passion. I’m able to share much more and in very specific ways that are helpful.

I am not planning on quitting Fluther, but my time here is greatly curtailed compared to what I did here in the past.

I remember Ben and Andrew saying they will notify us in advance if they ever plan to shut down Fluther. I don’t think we need to worry about anything until that day comes.

Fluther assets were already sold in the twitter deal, and the website wasn’t included, so I don’t think there will necessarily be major changes now. I don’t think Fluther was even mentioned in any of the Jelly releases I read.

I’m guessing the latest round of development was probably to make sure Fluther was clean of assets sold in the Jelly deal though.

I’m just thankful they keep it running. It would have been easier, and even profitable, to sell user information and simply shut things down. I give them all a lot of respect for treating it as they have, and I will pull for everyone involved in all their future ventures.

I hope Pinterest treats Ben well.
